How far is Pahalgam from Srinagar?
Pahalgam to Srinagar is about 95 km. The Pahalgam Srinagar drive takes around 2.5 to 3 hours, past the saffron fields of Pampore and the apple orchards of the Lidder valley.
A day trip is possible, but an overnight stay is far more relaxing.
Are Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari included in packages?
No. These three valleys can only be reached in Pahalgam's local union taxis, which are paid directly at the taxi stand.

May, June, September and October are ideal: green valleys, comfortable temperatures and fewer crowds than July.
Is rafting safe in Pahalgam?
Rafting on the Lidder is run by local operators with life jackets and guides. Choose a licensed operator and follow their instructions.
