Srinagar Ladakh tour package: Trip Overview

This is the big one: the green valleys of Kashmir and the high desert of Ladakh in a single road trip.

Start in Srinagar, cross Zoji La to Kargil and Leh, then head over Khardung La to Nubra and Chang La to Pangong Lake. The road is usually open from June to September.

It's a good fit for adventure, friends/group travellers and includes comfortable stays, daily breakfast and dinner, and a private cab with an experienced local driver throughout. Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 01: Srinagar Full-Day Local Sightseeing

• We pick you up from Srinagar airport or railway station and drop you at your hotel.
• Visit Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal and the Shankaracharya Temple.
• Spend the evening strolling along the Boulevard by Dal Lake. Dinner and overnight in Srinagar.

Day 02: Srinagar to Gulmarg Day Trip

• After breakfast, it's about a 2-hour drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg, the 'meadow of flowers'.
• Ride the Gulmarg Gondola (own cost) and enjoy snow in winter or golf and meadow walks in summer.
• Drive back from Gulmarg to Srinagar in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Srinagar to Pahalgam Day Trip

• Drive past the saffron fields of Pampore and the apple orchards of the Lidder valley.
• Walk along the Lidder River and visit the riverside viewpoints of Pahalgam.
• Return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight.

Day 04: Srinagar to Sonamarg Day Trip

• Drive along the Sindh River from Srinagar to Sonamarg, the 'meadow of gold'.
• Take an optional pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier (own cost).
• Return to Srinagar in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 05: Srinagar to Kargil via Zoji La

• Cross the Zoji La pass and stop at the Drass War Memorial.
• Continue to Kargil.
• Dinner and overnight in Kargil.

Day 06: Kargil to Leh

• Drive past Lamayuru's 'moonland', Magnetic Hill and the Indus–Zanskar confluence.
• Arrive in Leh in the evening.
• Dinner and overnight in Leh.

Day 07: Leh Local Sightseeing

• Visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and the Hall of Fame.
• Visit Thiksey and Hemis monasteries.
• Dinner and overnight in Leh.

Day 08: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

• Cross the Khardung La pass to Nubra Valley.
• See the Hunder sand dunes and Diskit Monastery.
• Overnight in a Nubra camp.

Day 09: Nubra to Leh

• Morning at leisure in Nubra.
• Drive back to Leh.
• Dinner and overnight in Leh.

Day 10: Leh to Pangong Lake

• Drive over the Chang La pass.
• Spend the afternoon by the colour-changing Pangong Lake.
• Overnight in a lakeside camp.

Day 11: Pangong to Leh

• Watch the sunrise over Pangong.
• Drive back to Leh.
• Evening shopping in Leh market. Overnight in Leh.

Day 12: Leh Airport Departure

• After breakfast, transfer to Leh airport for your onward journey.
