How far is Sonamarg from Srinagar?
Srinagar to Sonamarg is about 80 km, roughly a 2.5 to 3-hour drive.
The Srinagar Sonmarg road (NH1) follows the Sindh River almost the whole way and is one of the prettiest drives in Kashmir.
Can you visit Gulmarg and Sonamarg on the same day?
It's not a good idea. They're in opposite directions from Srinagar, about 135 km apart.

Is Sonamarg open in winter?
The road is often affected by heavy snow in winter. Check conditions before planning a December–March visit; summer and autumn are the reliable seasons.
